Message out for you.

:
:The insurance company 2 days later calls and tells me they spoke to everyone including their driver and are accepting liability on it. They ask me to get the damage apparaised. I do at a local shop and it comes to 3,800.00 total.
:They say that is outrageous and want me to take it to their recommended place. I said "no if you want your people to see it come to my house, I don't deserve to be further inconvinienced"

Next day at 10am a man representing them is at my door. He looks the car over, comments on its the cleanest Z he has seen in a long time. Makes note of the damage and leaves.
:Following day am contacted by insurance telling me its totaled and worth 5,800.00 for payoff. I tell them "wrong, not with the work I've done to it I won't accept that as the payoff" They argue it is non negotionable but agree to send someone to my house. That evening same man as before shows up and I promtly show him receipts of money I put into car including the 2 week old j-spec tails I had just bought.
:2 days go by and I get a call that its totaled and now they will give me 7,200.00 (wow a 1,400.00 jump)
:I then ask about buying it back salvage title and they say I can for 750.00. ofcourse I do this taking delight that I drove the value up 1400 and get to buy it all back anyway for 750.
:All along I have been looking at other Z's and at one point even test drive a 91 Porsche 928 S4 with 58k.
:I do a search one morning to find a black convertible only 5 miles from my house. When I call he says wow I just listed it not even 20 minutes ago. My wife says no 2 seaters but half an hour later he is at my house and we are going on a test drive which lasts over an hour and then we proceed to visit infront of my house about 2 hours talking Zs. (my wife having now seen the car is excited and a 2 seater isnt a prob. We have a conversion van and the BMW for family driving)
:Next day Im the owner at a price some might think is high but to me was worth it. Stacks of paperwork showing work done to the car accompany it.
:I immediatly enter the lab and swap parts.
:pop charger, part of my stereo system, j-spec tails, exhaust (modified to fit) one of the turn signals and have my spoiler off the old Z painted and mounted to fit 4 days later as well as a few other odds and ends.
:I have stripped my car selling parts to locals aswell as throwing parts in the storage shed. Seats sold, interior parts sold. Lights, engine parts, and the wheels with month old Yokohama AVS's kept by me along with everything else I already stripped.
:I have someone wanting to pic up whats left and pay what my salvage price was. So I think I did really well. Should be by today or tomorrow with money, lights, wheels and tires and a drivers seat to limp it home.
:The results are the following...
:I am buying a new facia and am having the whole car repainted same color with the sale of my other Z and pain and suffering money.
:I cleaned the hell out of it for a show in Tulsa yesterday so here it is.
